The Supreme Court held that children of all ages possess a fundamental right to access and use the Internet under Articles 21 and 19(1)(a) of the Constitution.
The ruling was delivered by a Bench comprising Justices J.B. Pardiwala and Vinod K. Chandran.
The Court rejected blanket bans and stated that protecting children and preserving their digital freedom are complementary objectives requiring intelligent restraints.
