Lok Sabha to Debate Public Examinations Amendment Bill Today

The Lok Sabha is scheduled to discuss and pass the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, on July 28, 2026, following its introduction by Union Minister Jitendra Singh.

Speaker Om Birla has allocated six hours for the debate on the legislation, which mandates that investigations into paper leak cases must be completed within a two-month timeframe.

Parliamentary proceedings were disrupted on July 27, 2026, as Opposition members demanded a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah regarding alleged police force used against protesters in Delhi on July 20.
