Uttar Pradesh Police Busts Fake Currency Racket In Shravasti

A joint team of the UP Special Task Force and Sonwa Police busted an illegal currency printing operation in Shravasti district, arresting three men.

Authorities recovered 804 counterfeit notes with a face value of ₹1.74 lakh in denominations of ₹100, ₹200, and ₹500 from a rice mill.

Investigators stated the accused planned to circulate the fake notes during Diwali by purchasing goods and exchanging ₹1 lakh genuine cash for ₹3 lakh fake currency.
