
Sri Lankan cricketer Dinesh Chandimal was hospitalized for a precautionary scan after suffering a shoulder and neck injury during the fourth day of the Galle Test against India.
The 36-year-old sustained the injury while diving to save a boundary at the end of the fourth over, appearing in immediate discomfort before leaving the field.
Chandimal had previously scored 4 runs in the first innings of the match, where Sri Lanka conceded a 178-run lead to the Indian side.
