Maharashtra and Bihar Withdraw FIRs Against NEET Protesters

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the Bihar government have ordered the withdrawal of cases registered against students participating in protests demanding the resignation of former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed states to preserve all digital evidence, including CCTV and drone footage, and ordered the release of protesters under 18 with no criminal records.

The court restrained authorities from taking coercive action against eligible students while permitting the Delhi government to continue investigations into FIRs registered during the nationwide stir.
