The UK-India Free Trade Agreement does not create a new Student visa or guarantee employment, but aims to expand bilateral trade and professional links between the two countries.
Under current UK policy, Indian students graduating from eligible programs can apply for the Graduate visa, receiving 18 months to work or seek work, while PhD graduates receive three years.
The agreement and growing commercial ties position graduates who understand both markets well to bring valuable skills and perspectives to employers in both India and the UK.
