Eight surrendered Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Bastar division cleared the Class 10 State Open School examination held in August.
Geeta Narote, a 36-year-old former medical team member known as Dr Champa, received 50,000 rupees under the state surrender policy and plans to pursue nursing.
The successful candidates prepared using a structured timetable and model question papers with assistance from another surrendered cadre.
