The Odyssey has returned to IMAX screens across India, excluding Bengaluru, following the commercial underperformance of the Yash-starrer Toxic which replaced it on August 26.

The Odyssey previously recorded a record Rs. 90 crore collection from just 34 IMAX screens, maintaining a 43% occupancy rate on its final day before the initial removal.

On August 27, Toxic’s IMAX occupancy dropped sharply to 17.4%, while The Odyssey maintained 37.6% occupancy, prompting cinemas to reinstate the Matt Damon-starrer starting August 28.
