The Ministry of Education approved the establishment of five Centres of Excellence dedicated to the study of classical Assamese, Bengali, Pali, Marathi, and Prakrit.
These centres aim to boost academic research, digitisation, preservation, and dissemination of heritage for these classical languages.
The facilities will be hosted at Tezpur University, Visva Bharati University, Central University of Odisha, Central University of Gujarat, and Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute in Pune.
