The United Arab Emirates released ten findings regarding a September 30 incident where an Omani co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain with an axe on flydubai flight FZ1073.
Investigators stated the suspect intended to crash the plane into Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, having taken two earlier reconnaissance flights and drawn inspiration from the 9/11 attacks.
The flight was safely diverted to Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia after the captain, crew, and passengers intervened to subdue the suspect.
