Consultant physician Dr Lakshman Ramachandran emphasized that feeling healthy in your 20s or 30s does not rule out developing conditions like high blood pressure and cholesterol.
Dr Lakshman recommended young adults start with basic tests including blood pressure checks, lipid profiles, and blood glucose testing based on family history and risk factors.
He advised against undergoing every available test indiscriminately, stressing that the goal is early risk identification and appropriate medical follow-up.
