The Delhi government has issued a health advisory after recording 1,777 H1N1 cases this year, with 114 cases reported on Thursday alone as part of a broader surge in influenza.
Total influenza cases in the capital have reached 2,602, including 2,392 Influenza-A and 210 Influenza-B infections, prompting the health department to place 35 hospitals under special surveillance.
Authorities have designated AIIMS and the National Centre for Disease Control as referral laboratories and directed all district medical officers to monitor SARI and ILI cases via the IHIP portal.
