The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its order on the Centre's plea seeking prospective application of its March 11 judgment on OBC reservation.
The Centre argued that immediate implementation of the ruling to past appointments would create complete administrative chaos and requested a two-year deferral.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta stated the application aims to align competing rights with administrative realities and avoid reopening seniority and cadre allocations.
