RGCB researchers develop nanopore sensors for early Parkinson's detection

Researchers at the BRIC-Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology developed self-assembling dual-diameter nanopore sensors for early Parkinson's disease detection.

Published in Nature Nanotechnology, the technology uses short peptides to form pores capable of identifying disease-linked biomarkers at low concentrations.

The research was conducted in collaboration with Constructor University in Germany and the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology in Kolkata.
