Pakistan Cites Technical Issues for Denying Airspace for Bangladesh Uranium

The Pakistan High Commission described its refusal to grant airspace clearance for a cargo flight carrying nuclear fuel to Bangladesh as a technical issue.

Uranium fuel shipments for Unit 2 of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant were originally scheduled to arrive on September 24 but were delayed due to flight routing coordination.

Bangladesh Science and Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam stated that Russia has indicated a rescheduled delivery date during the first week of October.
