IDSFFK 2026: Viraamam Explores Lives of Film Projectionists

Malavika VN's short documentary Viraamam was screened in the competition section at the 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala.

The 16-minute film examines the lives of film projectionists in Kerala who adapted to digital technological shifts or left the profession.

Originally conceptualized as a student project a decade ago, the documentary was recently re-edited to highlight the emotional dedication of projectionists.
