Eight Arrested After Manipuri Musician Lynched in South Delhi

Delhi Police arrested seven men and detained a 15-year-old boy for the mob lynching of Manipuri musician Chongtham Vikram Singh, who died on Monday following a Sunday night assault.

The accused, aged between 15 and 36, were charged under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 103(2) and 3(5) after the victim was attacked near his residence in the Ashram area.

Former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh condemned the incident and urged a thorough investigation, while the North East Media Forum demanded strict action against potential identity-based targeting.
