Thailand's headline consumer-price index rose 3.9% year-on-year in October, accelerating from 2.82% in September.
The inflation reading exceeded the Bank of Thailand's target range of 1% to 3% and topped economists' median forecasts of 3.5%.
The acceleration was driven primarily by rising fuel prices resulting from volatility in global energy markets due to the Middle East conflict.
