North Korea successfully tests new AI-equipped torpedo weapon system

North Korea conducted a successful underwater test of a new high-speed precision-guided torpedo weapon system on Thursday to verify technological upgrades.

State news agency KCNA stated that artificial intelligence was utilized for target detection and guidance in the newly tested weapon.

The test followed more than 180 propulsion technology trials over the past five years amid rising regional tensions.
