The Supreme Court agreed to hear on October 26 an application seeking an FIR against Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi over an alleged pushing incident during an October 12 march.
The plea filed by advocate Digant Mishra and others highlights injuries sustained by three-month pregnant journalist Richa Parashar and seeks preservation of CCTV footage and visitor logs.
The CJI stated the application will be heard alongside related protests, while petitioners also sought a framework regulating processions and political demonstrations within judicial complexes.
