India's Mobile Manufacturing Output Surges 33X Under PLI 2.0 Scheme

India's mobile phone production grew 33-fold from ₹18,900 crore in FY15 to ₹6.3 lakh crore in FY26, with exports reaching ₹2.6 lakh crore during the same period.

The government has launched the PLI 2.0 scheme with a ₹62,500 crore outlay for FY27-FY31, offering incentives of 2.25% to 5% to boost domestic value addition and incremental sales.

Dixon Technologies reported Q1 FY27 revenue of ₹14,179 crore for its mobile division and expects to produce 3.2 crore units in the full fiscal year, excluding volumes from its new Vivo joint venture.
