A 17-year-old from McKinney, Texas, was arrested by the FBI for allegedly planning to assassinate U.S. Representative Keith Self and execute an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack in North Texas.
Federal law enforcement stated the juvenile was taken into custody on October 5 after acquiring a firearm following recent radicalization by the group.
Rep. Self, who co-founded the Sharia-Free America Caucus, introduced a non-binding resolution last month denouncing Sharia law in the United States.
