A Ukrainian drone strike on a crowded beach in the Russian resort town of Gelendzhik killed seven people, including three children, and injured at least 40 others on Monday.
The Russian Health Ministry confirmed that 21 individuals, among them three children, were hospitalised, with nine of the injured currently reported to be in serious condition.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the attack as an act of terrorism, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy vowed to maintain military pressure until Moscow is forced to negotiate.
