Delhi air quality worsens to very poor category on Monday

Delhi's overall air quality deteriorated to the very poor category on Monday morning, recording a 24-hour average Air Quality Index of 310 at 8 a.m.

Several north Indian towns including Noida, Kaithal, and Hapur also reported very poor air quality on Monday morning as winter pollution curbs took effect.

Authorities have enforced strict measures including construction bans, vehicle restrictions for non-BS-VI models, and a 50 percent office attendance cap.
