TIPRA Motha party won 2,670 seats in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council village elections, results for which were declared on Monday.
The BJP secured 470 seats while its ally IPFT won 16, following a Supreme Court directive that mandated the polls be held by early September.
Voting occurred across 2,950 seats, with an additional 1,644 candidates elected unopposed, marking a significant consolidation of power for the tribal party.
