Bengaluru's Iconic Urvashi Theatre Faces Demolition

Urvashi Theatre in Bengaluru is being demolished following a Supreme Court ruling that ended an eight-year legal dispute over the property's lease.

The single-screen cinema, which opened nearly 50 years ago, was known for its 1,150-seat capacity and high-tech Meyer Sound system.

Equipment removal began on Monday, marking the end of the theatre's history as a popular venue for both Kannada and Hollywood film screenings.
