Director Rajkumar Santoshi has addressed the backlash surrounding the film, denying claims of propaganda and questioning if the protagonist's background affected audience reception.

The film has earned approximately Rs 75 lakh on its second Friday, with total worldwide collections yet to cross the Rs 50 crore threshold.
