Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in India on Saturday for the first time in seven years to attend the BRICS Summit and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The leaders are scheduled to meet on Saturday evening to assess progress on resolving the dragging border dispute in Ladakh following the October 2024 disengagement understanding.
