The Supreme Court granted actor Rajpal Yadav two more weeks to furnish ₹2 crore in cheque bounce cases, extending his interim protection from surrender until October 5.
The bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant expressed a lack of trust in Yadav, citing his past conduct and the three-month sentence given by the Delhi High Court.
Yadav's counsel stated his client faced genuine financial distress and planned to arrange funds using an immovable property belonging to his mother.
