Indian Para Swimmer Deported Over Sexual Misconduct Charges

Para-swimmer Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh was deported from Japan following allegations of sexual misconduct at the Asian Para Games 2026.

The incident occurred at the team hotel after a female housekeeping staff member reported that Shaikh attempted to inappropriately touch and grope her.

The Paralympic Committee of India stated it intends to hand Shaikh an immediate lifetime ban following a formal hearing upon his arrival in India.
