Lean Arrivals Push Up Tomato Prices in Andhra Pradesh Markets

Tomato prices rose in Rayalaseema districts as arrivals at the Madanapalle market dropped to 62 tonnes on Wednesday due to adverse climatic conditions and increased festival harvesting.

First-grade produce was quoted at ₹410 per 10 kg, while retail prices in surrounding markets reached ₹45 to ₹50 a kg.

Traders expect demand from other States during upcoming festivals to keep local prices elevated unless market arrivals improve.
