Mahindra & Mahindra announced a strategic divestment of its truck and bus manufacturing division to SML Mahindra in an all-cash deal valued at ₹525 crore on July 29, 2026.
The transaction is part of a broader commercial vehicle overhaul aimed at streamlining Mahindra's core operations while allowing SML Mahindra to expand its market share in the heavy-duty segment.
The integration process is expected to conclude by Q4 2026, with both companies confirming that existing employee contracts and service networks will remain unaffected during the transition.
