BJP Targets Rahul Gandhi With 'Buddhi Shuddhi' Ritual After FIR

BJP workers performed a 'buddhi shuddhi' (purification of intellect) ritual in Uttarakhand on September 2, protesting Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks regarding the Haldwani demolition drive.

The protest follows an FIR registered against the Congress leader for allegedly inciting communal disharmony during his visit to the site where 4,000 homes were slated for demolition.

Congress leaders, including Harish Rawat, have launched a counter-protest, observing a 'maun vrat' (vow of silence) in Delhi to condemn what they term as political vendetta by the state government.
