Delhi Police Registers FIR After Rahul Gandhi's Protest Over Pellet Injuries

Delhi Police registered an FIR under Section 118 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act, 2023, following a dharna led by Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi at the Parliament Street police station.

The complaint concerns 19-year-old Sahil Lochab, who suffered pellet gun injuries during a July 20 protest at Jantar Mantar and reportedly faces less than 1% vision in his right eye.

Following the FIR registration on August 21, 2026, the victim and his mother confirmed they had been seeking legal action since August 14, 2026, after the incident occurred a month prior.
