Chhattisgarh Declares State-Wide School Holiday Amid Heavy Rain and Floods

The Chhattisgarh government declared a state-wide school holiday for Saturday due to heavy rain that inundated low-lying areas and cut off remote settlements in the Bastar region.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced the closure of all government, private, and aided schools, stating that student safety was the administration's top priority.

Sai instructed district collectors in the seven-district Bastar division and across the state to conduct immediate relief and rescue operations with full vigilance.
