India and China Agree on Border Delimitation Roadmap

India and China have committed to an eight-point roadmap to advance discussions on an early and substantial harvest of boundary delimitation following talks in Beijing on August 26, 2026.

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi agreed to establish two additional military meeting points and two new border hotlines in the Eastern and Middle Sectors.

Both nations will hold an expert-level meeting in September to address trans-border river issues and resume hydrological data sharing to maintain peace along the Line of Actual Control.
