US Treasury yields climbed on Wednesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, with the 10-year yield increasing by more than 2 basis points to cross 5% at 5.0134%.
The 2-year yield rose by 1 basis point to 4.7494% and the 30-year yield increased by over 1 basis point to 5.3200% amid expectations that the Fed would keep rates unchanged at 3.75% to 4%.
Traders priced in a 90.6% probability that interest rates would remain steady and a 76.5% chance of a 25-basis-point rate hike at the central bank's next meeting on December 9.
