The Indian rupee appreciated by 20 paise to settle provisionally at 95.58 against the U.S. dollar on Tuesday.
The appreciation was supported by falling crude oil prices and optimism surrounding potential diplomatic talks to resolve the U.S.-Iran war.
Meanwhile, Brent crude traded lower by 1.14% at $99.20 per barrel in futures trade.
