The Enforcement Directorate (ED) submitted a report to the Kerala State Police Chief on September 7, 2026, seeking a corruption case against former CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
The probe alleges Vijayan received ₹3.28 crore in bribes through his daughter, T. Veena, and son-in-law P.A. Mohamed Riyas, linked to Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL).
The ED previously froze ₹18.36 crore across 242 accounts after finding evidence of ₹182 crore in fictitious cash expenses booked by CMRL over 15 years.
