Mumbai remained on an orange alert on Sunday with the IMD forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across parts of Maharashtra.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation noted high tides reaching 4.46 metres and 4.43 metres, while Palghar and Nandurbar faced severe warnings for extremely heavy rainfall.
The IMD warned of potential waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and landslides, though overall rainfall intensity is expected to ease starting Monday.
