The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the operating licenses of 13 prominent establishments, including the Radio Club and Khar Gymkhana, for severe hygiene violations.
The crackdown follows a series of viral raids led by food safety officer Tukaram Mundhe, which have highlighted widespread non-compliance with health standards in Mumbai.
The FDA has mandated that these establishments must undergo a complete audit and rectify all safety lapses before they are permitted to resume operations.
