The Thrikkakara police arrested four individuals for allegedly cheating a Thiruvananthapuram native of ₹37 lakh by promising five-fold returns on frozen food exports.
The suspects include Sunilkumar, Anilkumar alias Nithyachaithanya Swamy, Latha Nair, and Sindhu Dileepkumar, with Ms Nair being a convict in a sexual abuse case.
Police registered the arrests following allegations that the group lured the complainant into a fraudulent investment scheme for a company exporting frozen food.
