Zee founder Subhash Chandra stated he has only ₹6.5 crore remaining to repay creditors after the NCLT approved a plan on August 25 for a ₹6.25 crore settlement.
The approved plan covers admitted claims of approximately ₹22,006.57 crore, though lenders including Canara Bank and Union Bank of India (UK) plan to challenge the order at the NCLAT.
Chandra, who claims to have sold family assets and his house to settle debts, plans to rebuild his wealth through new investments and startup ventures with a Swiss partner.
