Madhya Pradesh Hit-And-Run: Two Accused Injured in Police Encounters

Two accused, including truck driver Gajendra alias Akku Rawat, were seriously injured in separate police encounters in Dewas district on Tuesday night.

The driver had allegedly run over Station House Officer Dilip Puri with a truck on the Indore-Betul highway early Monday morning during an illicit liquor interception.

Police stated both accused attempted to escape custody by snatching police weapons and opening fire, prompting officers to retaliate in self-defense by shooting them in the leg.
