Denmark Summons Russian Ambassador After Warship Fires Flares at Helicopter

Denmark summoned the Russian ambassador after a Russian warship fired two emergency flares at a Danish Fennec helicopter in the Baltic Sea.

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen branded the action reckless and designed to intimidate, while Moscow agreed to investigate the incident.

The incident coincided with NATO forces shooting down a drone that entered Lithuania's airspace from Belarus.
