Delhi Court Grants Two-Day Police Custody in Satya Niketan Collapse

A Delhi court remanded the building owner's son, a PG operator, and a contractor to two days of police custody following the September 6, 2026, collapse that killed seven people.

The accused, Mahesh Gupta, Sudhanshu, and Sanoj, were produced before Judicial Magistrate Kautuk Bharadwaj after police sought three days of interrogation regarding the five-storey structure's failure.

The building owner, Hariram, and his wife Urmila were previously sent to 14 days of judicial custody on September 7, while investigators probe illegal additional floor construction for rental income.
