Halo Studios Retains Around 30 Employees Following Layoffs as Activision Takes Franchise Charge

Halo Studios retained a small team of approximately 30 employees, including studio head Pierre Hintze, following recent Microsoft Xbox layoffs.

Prior to the layoffs, studio staff had presented concept updates for Halo 7 to executives, though multiple projects including remakes and a spinoff remain uncertain.

Activision has taken stewardship of the Halo franchise, beginning to assemble a dedicated development team to create the next mainline title.
