Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis proposed a committee headed by a retired high court judge to examine past and present MPSC members.
The recommendation under Article 317 of the Constitution follows protests by aspirants over exam paper leaks and irregularities.
The panel is expected to submit its findings and report within three months to determine whether removal recommendations should be made to the President.
