Graphic design platform Canva is laying off 1,271 employees, marking the company’s first period of slowing growth in a decade.
CEO Melanie Perkins described the decision as the most difficult in the company’s thirteen-year history, citing significant workforce reductions across departments.
Since its launch in 2013, Canva has expanded to reach over 220 million monthly active users across 190 countries using its subscription-based design tools.
