Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Warns Industry of Cyberattacks on Chip Push

Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw cautioned the domestic semiconductor industry to maintain constant vigil against potential cyberattacks and disruptions from global competitors.

Vaishnaw noted that India's emergence in chip design and manufacturing is viewed as a threat by established international players in the value chain.

The Union Cabinet recently approved Semicon 2.0 with a 1,27,500 crore rupee outlay, building on an initial phase that attracted multiple commercial production projects and major investment commitments.
